What is defoamer?

Ok, so the water is now foamy, what can I do??? There are products like Defoamer that you can buy at The Hot Tub Store that help to eat away at the foam and soap that has been introduced into the water. (See “Why is my hot tub foaming?” for more info). You should also thoroughly rinse your filters with a high pressure nozzle and hose to help to get some of the soap residues out of the system. Sometimes the problem is just so bad that the only real way to fix it is to drain the hot tub, wipe it out thoroughly, and then refill it with fresh water.
